My name
is Kathy Britt. I work with alligators in south Florida. When my son, William, was 3 years old he was bitten by an alligator
across his stomach. The doctors told me he would be in the Intensive Care ward for at least 6 weeks. A Native American friend
of mine from Cherokee North Carolina gave me a flute music CD called “Moon Rise” by Mark Hicks, also from Cherokee.
He instructed me to play this music for my son every night. I followed his instructions and to the amazement of the hospital
staff my son recovered a full 3 weeks early! The hospital staff was so impressed they asked if I would donate the CD so they
could play it for the rest of the children in the ICU ward. I agreed. I then made every attempt to locate Mark to thank him
and to get another CD. I was unable to find him because he travelled a great deal performing at Native Pow Wows across the
country.
Two years past. Then one day I saw a man setting up a vending booth to sell Native crafts on a tourist
island in the Everglades which I managed. I noticed him setting out Cds so I went to investigate. To my surprise it was Mark!
I began to cry and told him the story. I was amazed! I searched for 2 years for this man and one day he just walks on to my
island! We have been friends ever since. Mark also taught me how to play “Amazing Grace” on my flute. My son,
to this day, goes to sleep listening to Mark’s music.
I highly recommend Mark's music to anyone in need
of physical or spiritual healing. It is also excellent for meditation.
